STATEMENT
Isis Horne Hill is a Print Media BFA graduate from Alberta University of the Arts, living and working in Treaty 7 Territory. Their practice centers on printmaking and painting, often incorporating illustrated imagery, light, shadow, and sculptural elements. Rooted in care for the environment and the collective, their work grows from relationships to land & colonial structures, cycles & observations, exploring how experiential residues shape perception, psyche, and embodied response over time. Rather than illustrating specific events, the work remains open ended, allowing ambiguity and emotional resonance to guide meaning.
Working both independently and collaboratively, Isis approaches art as a means of opening dialogue around experiences that are often difficult to articulate, overlooked, or quietly carried.
